Custom Design
All that you need to begin a custom design is an idea, whether it is a 'napkin sketch' or perhaps a stock plan from a magazine or our web page, we will take those ideas and turn them into the home you have always dreamed of.
Our preliminary package includes floor plans, structural design as well as photo realistic 3D renderings and animations of your future home situated on your landscaped lot. Our high quality 3D renderings allow you to see all facets of your dream home, leaving nothing to the imagination. Once complete, you will receive basement, first and second floor plans complete with structural design on "D" size (2" x 3") sheets as well as a custom CD-ROM containing views and animations of the finished home and log work (if applicable). In addition, you will receive the views and floor plans by email as .JPG and .PDF attachments, this will allow you to view and print them at your convenience.
Following the preliminary drawings is the revision stage. Two full revisions are included within the design package. It is important to see each revision stage as a major undertaking, probably involving the input from all future occupants of the house. You will feel very much in control throughout the design process as we build and revise your future dream home together.
Once you are completely satisfied with all facets of the design we will prepare the final set of plans. Once completed the construction documents will include:
- Cover page w/ general notes
- Site plan
- Four elevations
- Foundation plan
- First floor plan
- First and second floor framing plans
- Second floor plan and roof framing plan
- Electrical plans for all floors with construction details and notes,
- Customized construction details (concrete, framing, finishing details etc.)
- Typical settling details (if applicable)
- 2 Full cross sections of the finished home
- Cross sections of all log walls (if applicable)
- Window and door schedules
- Finishing schedules
- 2 Isometric views
We provide an extremely detailed set of plans that are second to none, leaving no questions for the builders and therefore avoiding costly construction delays and/or changes!

We can assist with your subdivisions site layout and proposed building locations. From building massing, schematics and presentation material to preparation of your subdivisions design guidelines, we do it all.
