The house is about 80% finished. Needless to say, it is shaping up to be more spectacular than even our most far-reaching expectations. We find ourselves without words to describe our pleasure with the final (almost) product. Ditto for all the contractors involved. Nick, our general contractor and super, is almost as excited about it as we are. No one really appreciated the final look from the plans and renderings. Absolutely awesome. Anyway Kevin, thanks again for a wonderful rework of the original plan and all your ideas that were added. It really has turned out better than we ever conceptualized. We absolutely couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

I wanted to share my thoughts with you about a designer I recently used recently. We purchased some acreage in the mountains and started our planning process from scratch. Of course we bought the usual dozen - plus home plan books and started to formulate an idea for our second home. I have always thought of myself as a good communicator but this time I could not get the usual home design experts to understand the look and feel I wanted. I came across Kevin Simoes by accident after reading an article in a major magazine that described his methods and the planning process he recommends for his clients. We clicked right away and I found that he truly listened to our description. He has the ability to tie it all together - and quickly! Of course we made changes along the way and he was always very accommodating. (it never seemed to be a bother) With Kevin's help we came up with a unique two story hybrid design that fits out mountain property perfectly. We used frame construction with lots of exposed beams that gave it a post and beam feel without the extra cost. He delivered the drawings on time and the inspection authorities were very impressed with the detail. (Especially the 3D) Our family plans to use Kevin again for future projects and we recommend him highly. He has unique abilities to help you through the awkward period of finalizing the design.

Wow Kevin, This is a masterpiece! I reviewed the plans in full, unbelievable! I am VERY pleased. I could not have asked for a better set of prints. I printed the renderings of the cabin you sent and have them posted where I work. Every single person that sees them complement on how great it looks. You were extremely professional and very accommodating to work with. I'll definitely pass your company on to anyone who's interested in building. Excellent work!

I don't think I could get more attention re the work you all have done, unless my daughter was standing around naked. Over the weekend, I must have had 100 plus people in my yard asking all kinds of questions. We now have the gate closed as much as possible, but the traffic seems to stop just in front. Nothing but very positive comments from everybody. I believe we have a winner, thanks to you, and everyone else involved. Having been busy throughout, I've played down the great work everyone has done, and of course the results. Last night I must have sat/walked on the floor till 1:00 am, and along with many features, the great room is truly remarkable, king posts, views, etc. Thanks again for your interest and support. The log work and your design really do look fantastic! You've done an excellent job!!

This was our first time to ever build a log home. We had been looking at magazines and dreaming about it for years. Out of all of the frustrations and setbacks we experienced, I can say without a doubt that using Kevin and Streamline Design for the custom design of our log home was one of the highlights and I have nothing but good things to say about them. We went through a design process with three different log companies and then ended up with Kevin and Streamline Design through some recommendations we received. If I had it to do all over again, I would start and finish with Streamline Design. Their prompt help and responsiveness through plan check and initial stages of building were consistently great. One big benefit I learned about using an independent designer is that after the custom design work was complete we were able to shop around for log styles and log home suppliers. This not only opened up many options, but I believe saved us thousands on the price of the log package. When people are considering building a log home and ask us about the process we went through, my first recommendation is to use Streamline Design, and then shop the log companies. I am amazed now that I see our home almost complete, how closely it matches the exterior and interior modeling that Kevin completed for us. The modeling provided us with a clear vision of where we were heading and what it was really going to look like in side and out. Kevin even used some photos of our property

We’ve just spoken to Kevin and given him our very minor changes to his preliminary plans. I wanted to say thank you very much for the recommendation to Kevin. He has done a superb job – he took almost every one of our initial requests and preferences and has incorporated them into what we think is a totally gorgeous house! Again, we are so excited by the house – we just love the look of it, its accommodation and how it will sit on its plot.
